Fleming, a freshman, showcased her talent with impressive 6-0, 6-0 victories over Spencer’s Lauren Ellis and Red Oak’s Merced Ramirez in the 1A tournament at Iowa City. On the other hand, Kock, a senior, is on the hunt for her first singles title. She secured her spot in the semifinals with commanding wins over Waterloo West’s Janet Toe and Iowa City West’s Maggie Shin in the 2A tournament at Johnston.
