Iran downplays drone strike, warns of maximum level response if Israel acts against its interests

Iran has downplayed the recent drone strikes in Isfahan, stating that Israel’s link to the attack has not been proven yet. The strikes, which occurred less than a week after Tehran’s rocket and drone barrage, resulted in three explosions in Isfahan, home to major military air bases and nuclear sites.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian dismissed the drone strikes as insignificant, likening them to “toys that children play with.” He revealed that the drones took off from inside Iran and flew only a few hundred meters before being shot down.

While Iran continues to investigate the incident, there has been no official confirmation of Israeli involvement. The country has referred to the attackers as “infiltrators” rather than directly blaming Israel.

In response to the situation, Iran has issued a warning that any further Israeli aggression against its interests will be met with an immediate and maximum level response. The US, a staunch supporter of Israel, has refrained from commenting on the drone strikes.

Meanwhile, Israel has requested additional tank ammunition and tactical vehicles from the US to replenish its stockpiles amid escalating tensions with Iran and ongoing conflicts in Gaza. The situation remains tense as both countries navigate the delicate balance of power in the region.
