Iran has issued a stern warning to the United States to stay out of any conflict with Israel following a suspected attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria. Tensions are escalating in the region, with concerns growing in the Biden administration over potential attacks on Israeli or American targets.

In a statement, Mohammad Jamshidi, the Iranian president’s deputy chief of staff for political affairs, cautioned the US against falling into Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trap. “Step so that you don’t get hit,” Jamshidi added.

The US is on high alert and is bracing for a “significant” response from Iran against Israeli or American targets in the region. The recent Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of at least seven Iranians, including two generals, has further heightened tensions.

Israel has been taking precautionary measures, including canceling home leave for combat troops, calling up reserves, and strengthening air defenses. Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has indicated that a response from Iran is imminent, but his group will not interfere in such decisions.

The situation in the region remains volatile, with both Iran and Israel preparing for potential escalation. The international community is closely monitoring the developments, as any further escalation could have far-reaching consequences for the entire Middle East.
