Audrey Adam, a recent graduate from Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies, has been making waves since entering the workforce in 2021. After joining Deloitte as a consultant and Product Owner, Adam has worked on various technology-focused projects for Retail E-commerce clients, showcasing her skills and expertise in the field.

What sets Adam apart from many young professionals is her decision to embrace a nomadic lifestyle after her first year out of school. Instead of renewing her lease in New York City, she opted to live in Airbnbs and explore different cities and regions across the United States. From New York City to California, Adam has experienced the diversity of landscapes and cultures that America has to offer, finally settling in Newport Beach, Calif.

“I have always loved the nomadic and simplistic lifestyle,” Adam shared, reflecting on her journey post-graduation. Despite her transient living arrangements, Syracuse has always held a special place in her heart. With her father and older sister both having ties to the university, Adam felt a strong connection to the campus and the iSchool.

Choosing to study at the iSchool was an easy decision for Adam, who was drawn to the wide range of classes offered, including web design. She credits Professor Dan Cohen for teaching her core consulting practices that she still uses in her role at Deloitte. Concepts like scrum, agile, product owner, and sprint planning have become integral to her daily work routine, thanks to the foundation laid during her time at Syracuse.

At Deloitte, Adam’s role as a consultant within the Customer and Marketing practice has allowed her to delve into the world of retail and ecommerce projects. She is particularly interested in product management for ecommerce mobile apps and has been actively involved in building a new ecommerce retail app for a popular brand. Collaborating with technical, design, and client teams, Adam finds fulfillment in seeing a project evolve from its initial stages to development.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Adam is a creative soul with a passion for cooking and baking. During her time at Syracuse, she ran a small business called “Bread by Aud,” delivering fresh, artisan bread to campus residents via bike. Looking ahead, Adam dreams of opening her own bakery or café, but for now, she is focused on honing her skills and growing in her current career.

As Adam continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the tech industry, her journey serves as an inspiration to young professionals looking to carve out their own path. With a blend of creativity, determination, and a thirst for new experiences, Audrey Adam is a shining example of the bright future that lies ahead for graduates of Syracuse University’s iSchool.
