The ‘All Eyes on Rafah’ campaign has taken the world by storm, with numerous celebrities and public figures coming together to express solidarity with Palestine and condemn the deadly attack on Rafah camp in Gaza on May 26. The global campaign has gained massive traction, sparking widespread outrage against the violence and inhumane treatment of Palestinians.

Israel, however, has not taken kindly to the campaign, taking to social media to remind people of the October 7 attack by Hamas that triggered the ongoing war between them. Israel shared a post asking, “Where were your eyes on October 7?” as it reiterated its commitment to fighting for the hostages and never stopping talking about the incident.

The ‘All Eyes on Rafah’ campaign has garnered support from not only the public but also from prominent Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, and Dia Mirza, who have shared the viral hashtag to show their solidarity with Palestinians. However, some celebrities faced backlash and quickly deleted their posts after expressing their support.

The ongoing IDF operation against Hamas in Gaza has resulted in a staggering 35,000 casualties so far, with the majority of Gaza’s 2.3 million civilians remaining displaced. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled against Israel on May 24, ordering it to immediately halt its offensive in Rafah. Despite this ruling, Israel is unlikely to comply, with its closest ally, the United States, refusing to alter its policy on Israel.
