Iran’s military adviser, Iraj Masjedi, issued a stern warning on Monday, stating that Iran will not show restraint if “enemy aggression” crosses its red lines. Masjedi, the top advisor to the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force commander, emphasized that while the Islamic Republic does not seek war, it will not hesitate to respond forcefully to any acts of aggression.
During a message commemorating National Army Day in Iran, Iranian Army Chief Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi echoed Masjedi’s sentiments, stating that Iran will give a “stormy and unified response” to any aggression. Mousavi highlighted Iran’s recent retaliatory attacks against Israel, conducted in cooperation with the IRGC’s Aerospace Division, the Army, and the Defense Ministry.
Masjedi also criticized the United States for urging Iran to exercise restraint while supporting Israel’s actions. He pointed out that Iran’s recent strike on Israel demonstrated that Israel’s air defense systems, including the Iron Dome, were not effective deterrents against Iranian missiles.
Despite Iran’s aggressive stance, Israeli and American officials reported that most of the ballistic missiles and drones launched by Iran during a recent attack were intercepted before reaching their targets in Israel. The interception highlighted the formidable missile defense systems deployed by Israel and the United States.
The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel raise concerns about the potential for further conflict in the region. As Iran continues to assert its military capabilities, the international community watches closely to see how the situation unfolds.
