Israel successfully rescues four hostages from Gaza who are reported to be in good medical condition | Global News

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a daring rescue operation, Israel has successfully saved four hostages from Gaza, who were captured by Hamas during the Nova music festival in October. The hostages, identified as Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv, are said to be in good medical condition after their rescue.

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Israel Securities Authority (ISA), and Israel Police worked together to carry out the operation, which took place in the heart of Nuseirat. The hostages have been transferred to the ‘Sheba’ Tel-HaShomer Medical Centre for further medical examinations.

This rescue mission marks the largest recovery of hostages since the conflict with Hamas began on October 7. The operation comes after around 1,200 people were killed in southern Israeli communities during the Hamas attack, with approximately 250 people being taken hostage.

The Israeli offensive in Gaza has resulted in a significant loss of life, with more than 36,000 Palestinians reported killed by the health ministry in Hamas-run Gaza. The region is also facing a widespread humanitarian crisis as a result of the conflict.

As the situation continues to develop, more details about the rescue operation are expected to be released. For the latest updates on this breaking news story, stay tuned for further updates.
