Israeli Consulate in Russia is in contact with parents of rescued hostage

The Israeli Consulate in St. Petersburg, Russia, is actively engaged with the parents of Andrey Kozlov, one of the hostages recently rescued in Gaza. Consul General Ran Gidor and Deputy Consul General Tal Shvartsman are providing assistance to Kozlov’s parents, who are expected to arrive in Israel tomorrow morning to reunite with their son.

This heartwarming development comes after Israeli security forces successfully rescued four hostages from Gaza, including Kozlov, in a daring daytime raid. The operation, hailed as heroic by Israel’s Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant, saw the hostages, who were abducted during the Nova music festival, safely brought to the Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan.

President Joe Biden, speaking during a joint news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, expressed his commitment to ensuring the safe return of all hostages and achieving a ceasefire in Gaza. He emphasized, “We won’t stop working until all the hostages come home and a cease-fire is reached.”

The rescue operation was not without sacrifice, as an Israeli special forces officer, Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, tragically lost his life during the mission. Despite the challenges and risks involved, the Israeli troops demonstrated immense courage and dedication in carrying out the operation.

As the rescued hostages begin their journey towards recovery and reunification with their families, the world watches with hope and admiration for the bravery and resilience displayed in the face of adversity.
