Israel’s President Isaac Herzog has issued a strong warning to the world about the “empire of evil in Tehran”, urging global leaders to take a stand against Iran’s aggressive behavior. In a recent interview with Sky News, Herzog emphasized the need for world leaders to make it clear to the Iranian regime that its actions are unacceptable.
Herzog’s comments come in the wake of Iran’s launch of over 300 drones and missiles towards Israel, which he described as just another example of Iran’s longstanding pattern of spreading havoc and instability. He highlighted Iran’s extensive network of proxies and terror cells across the Middle East and beyond, emphasizing the severity of the recent attacks on Israel.
The UK Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, confirmed that the RAF had shot down a number of Iranian attack drones in response to the aggression. Sunak condemned Iran’s actions as a dangerous escalation that could have had severe consequences for regional stability.
Meanwhile, the Israel Defence Forces are on high alert and prepared for further aggression, according to IDF spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner. Lerner emphasized the unity of reasonable players against Iran’s diabolical plans and indicated that Israel is considering its response to the attacks.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that their actions were in response to an attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, which resulted in casualties among IRGC members. Iran blamed Israel for the attack, although Israel has not publicly commented on the incident.
The situation remains tense as Israel weighs its response to Iran’s aggression, with global leaders closely monitoring the developments in the region.
