The Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome is in full swing, with top tennis stars battling it out on the clay courts. Saturday’s action features a lineup of exciting matches, including Rafael Nadal, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff, Cameron Norrie, and Jack Draper.

Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion, faced a tough challenge in his second-round matchup against Hubert Hurkacz after battling back from a set down in his opening match. Despite not playing his best tennis, Nadal managed to secure a hard-fought victory and expressed his determination to improve in the next round.

Meanwhile, British men’s pair Norrie and Draper are also in action, with Draper facing the daunting task of taking on defending champion Daniil Medvedev. Norrie, the British men’s No. 1, is set to begin his tournament against Jaume Munar of Spain later in the evening.

However, British stars Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu are notably absent from the tournament. Murray is recovering from an ankle injury and is set to return at the ATP Challenger Tour in Bordeaux before competing at the Geneva Open. Raducanu, on the other hand, is focusing on competing in Strasbourg and potentially qualifying for the French Open.

Despite the absence of Murray and Raducanu, the Italian Open continues to showcase top-level tennis, with players like Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal gearing up for the upcoming French Open. The tournament, held at the iconic Foro Italico in Rome, promises thrilling matches and intense competition as players vie for the prestigious title.
