IUP Women’s Tennis Team Heads Back to Florida for NCAA Round of 16

The IUP women’s tennis team is gearing up for an exciting first-round match in the 2024 NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis Championship. The 15th-seeded team will face off against second-seeded Nova Southeastern at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

IUP, with a 16-8 overall record and a 12-match winning streak, is ready to take on the tough competition from Nova Southeastern, who boasts a 23-4 record and is ranked second nationally.

The projected lineup for IUP includes standout players like Ming Deewajee, Katy Graydon, and Dani Ramos in singles, and strong doubles pairings like Deewajee/Ramos and Graydon/Vlachou.

This will be IUP’s 16th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, with the team making it to the Round of 16 for the fourth consecutive season. Head coach Andy McGlashen was recently named the PSAC West Coach of the Year, and several players received All-PSAC honors.
