Australian welterweight fighter Jack Della Maddalena’s plans for a home date at UFC 305 in Perth have been dashed due to a severe arm infection. The No. 5 ranked fighter in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings recently underwent two surgeries on his arm, which unfortunately led to complications and the development of a serious infection.

Della Maddalena took to social media to share the details of his medical ordeal, revealing that he had to undergo multiple procedures to address the infection, including the removal of abscesses and infected tissue and bone. The fighter, who is coming off a significant win against Gilbert Burns, expressed his disappointment at missing out on the opportunity to compete in front of his home country fans.

Despite the setback, Della Maddalena remains determined to make a full recovery and return to the octagon in top form. He is focused on getting his arm back to 100 percent and aims to compete in a challenging matchup before the end of the year.

Fans of the Australian fighter will have to wait a little longer to see him in action, but Della Maddalena’s resilience and determination in the face of adversity are sure to make his eventual return to the cage all the more anticipated.
