Jack Jay Krull featured in the Post Bulletin

Jack Jay Krull, a beloved resident of Alexandria, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at the age of 72 on May 4, 2024. Born in the rural area of Hayfield, Minnesota, Jack was known for his kind and thoughtful soul, as well as his passion for vintage tractors and storytelling.

Growing up in the Dexter/Elkton area, Jack excelled in school and sports, despite his teams often facing defeat. He graduated from Elkton High School in 1970 and went on to work at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Austin, Minnesota while attending college. Eventually, he settled in Alexandria, where he worked as an operator at the Wastewater Treatment Plant and enjoyed his hobby farm, raising cattle and baling hay.

Jack’s love for animals, music, and fixing things was evident throughout his life. He was known for his ability to repair almost anything and his willingness to help friends and neighbors with small repair jobs. His sense of humor and love for storytelling brought joy to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched.

Jack is survived by his sister and brothers, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In accordance with his wishes, his ashes will be buried at The White Garden Cemetery in rural Alexandria, with a graveside service scheduled for May 17, 2024. The arrangements are being handled by Anderson Funeral Home of Alexandria.

Jack’s legacy of kindness, hard work, and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
