Jacqueline Jossa from EastEnders shares insights on her lifestyle changes

Reading Time: 2 minutes

EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa has opened up about the lifestyle changes she has made recently, leading to a noticeable transformation in her appearance. The actress, best known for her role as Lauren Branning on the popular soap opera, shared details of her fitness and wellness journey during an Instagram Stories Q&A session with fans.

In response to a fan’s observation that she looked different lately, Jossa revealed that she had been focusing on moving more, working out regularly, and eating well. She emphasized that the changes she had made were not drastic, but rather a result of consistent effort and dedication to her health and well-being.

“I really have, I will have a talk at some point but nothing drastic or too huge, just been moving so much more, trying to train three times a week, sometimes more and sometimes less and eat well,” she explained. “Honestly, my mindset had just changed in the last 8 or so months and just got so into it. I’ve been so much happier for it. I still have a way to go actually but I feel much better mentally.”

When asked for more details about her exercise routine, Jossa mentioned that she enjoys taking classes at the gym and follows a structured workout plan that includes cardio, strength training, and core work. She highlighted the importance of consistency and finding activities that she enjoys to stay motivated and engaged in her fitness journey.

In addition to her physical health, Jossa also spoke about her mental well-being and the importance of seeking therapy. She shared that she has been in therapy since she was 17 and strongly recommended it to others, especially those who struggle with anxiety.

“Sometimes I’ll be in my bath and think, ‘Isn’t it crazy that I’m in a bath, in a bathroom, in a house, on a street, in a town, in a city, in a country, with water around me then I’m on a planet and then I’m in a galaxy,'” she said. “You worry about things that probably don’t even exist in the real world. And I realise that I’m just a dot on this planet and there’s so much more and that always brings me back down. It just makes me think, ‘This too shall pass, you’re going to be OK.'”

Since returning to EastEnders earlier this year, Jossa’s character Lauren has been involved in several dramatic storylines, including an arrest, a family secret, and a complicated relationship with her ex-boyfriend Peter Beale. As tensions continue to rise between them, viewers can expect more twists and turns in their storyline in the upcoming episodes.

EastEnders airs on BBC One on Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm, with episodes available for streaming on BBC iPlayer. Fans can stay updated on the latest spoilers and news about the show on the dedicated homepage.

Overall, Jacqueline Jossa’s candid revelations about her lifestyle changes and mental health journey serve as an inspiration to fans, encouraging them to prioritize their well-being and seek support when needed. Her commitment to self-improvement and personal growth is a testament to the positive impact of making positive changes in one’s life.
