Reflecting on his bond with Salman Khan, Jagapathi Babu revealed that their friendship was initiated by producer Mr. Radhamohan. He expressed his gratitude towards Salman Khan for being a guiding force in his career, stating, “He is the first person I ask and the last person too. I have this doubt that if I do a smaller film than Salman bhai’s film. Again, the people would consider me in other smaller films. It’ll go lower or something. Salman Bhai said there’s nothing like that in Mumbai. It doesn’t work like that.”
