The United South Central Rebels baseball team faced a tough loss against the Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman Jaguars in a nail-biting game that ended 7-6 in favor of the Jaguars. The game, played in Truman on Tuesday, May 14, saw the Rebels fight back after being down 6-3 in the sixth inning, tying the game at 6-6 in the seventh inning. However, the Jaguars managed to score a run in the bottom of the seventh, securing the win.

Despite the loss, the Rebels put up a strong fight, outhitting the Jaguars 7-5. Standout performances came from Byron Getchell with two hits, and Kolt Bullerman, Avery Crawford, Mitch Meyer, Seth Kayser, and Zayden Schott each contributing with one hit. Crawford and Bullerman both had doubles in the game.

On the pitching front, Riley Stevermer, Mitch Meyer, and Mason Haugh all took the mound for the Rebels, with Stevermer pitching five innings, Meyer pitching one, and Haugh pitching one and one-third innings.
