Jake Paul Threatens Violence Against Mike Tyson Ahead of Professional Boxing Match

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Jake Paul is gearing up for his upcoming fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson, and he’s not taking it lightly. The bout, set to take place on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex., has been officially sanctioned as a professional boxing match, raising the stakes for both fighters.

When the fight was first announced in March, many were unsure of what type of match it would be, given the significant age gap between the 27-year-old Paul and the 57-year-old Tyson. However, with the bout now confirmed as a professional fight, Paul is approaching it with the utmost seriousness.

During a recent interview at the Formula One Grand Prix in Miami, Paul made it clear that he sees Tyson as a formidable opponent. “It’s war. All is fair in love and war. I love the guy, but as soon as it turned into a pro-fight, one of us has to die,” Paul said.

For Tyson, this will be his first professional boxing match since 2005, when he suffered a loss to Kevin McBride. Despite his long hiatus from the sport, Tyson has continued to stay active with exhibition matches, including one against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

A win for Paul would extend his winning streak to three straight victories, following wins over Nate Diaz and Andre August. With both fighters taking the match seriously, fans can expect an intense showdown between the YouTube sensation and the boxing legend come fight night.
