Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is gearing up to showcase the wonders of Japan at the upcoming Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 in Dubai. With a focus on strengthening ties with the GCC region, JNTO aims to capitalize on the increasing interest from Middle Eastern travelers.

One of the key highlights of JNTO’s participation at ATM 2024 is the rising interest from GCC nationals in exploring Japan. In 2023, the number of GCC nationals visiting Japan saw a significant 401.3% increase compared to the previous year, reflecting a growing appetite for unique cultural experiences and breathtaking landscapes.

Moreover, JNTO is excited to announce an increase in co-exhibitors at the Visit Japan stand at ATM, with the number growing from 9 organizations in 2023 to 14 this year. This growth underscores the growing collaboration between Japanese tourism stakeholders and their counterparts in the Middle East.

In addition, JNTO is pleased to note the expansion of flight connectivity between the GCC region and Japan, with airlines like Emirates, Etihad Airways, and Qatar Airways increasing their flight frequencies and launching new routes. Japan Airlines also made history by launching a daily flight from Tokyo-Haneda to Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, offering top-notch Japanese-style customer service.

As Japan gears up to host Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, with a focus on designing a future society for our lives, JNTO will leverage its presence at ATM 2024 to promote this global event. With more than 150 countries/regions participating, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai is set to be a platform for innovation and collaboration.

Executive Director of JNTO Dubai Office, Mr. KOBAYASHI Daisuke, expressed excitement about showcasing Japan’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant tourism offerings at ATM 2024. With the increasing interest from GCC nationals, JNTO sees tremendous potential for further collaboration and growth in the tourism sector.

JNTO looks forward to welcoming visitors at the Visit Japan stand at ATM 2024 and inviting them to embark on memorable journeys to Japan.
