Jay Leno and his wife Mavis are ‘doing well’ following conservatorship ruling – Entertainment News

Jay Leno and his wife Mavis are “doing good” after their recent conservatorship ruling. The 74-year-old TV star was granted conservatorship of their joint estate last month due to Mavis’ advanced dementia diagnosis. Despite the challenges they are facing, the couple appeared in public together at the premiere of the new movie ‘Unfrosted’ in Los Angeles.

Mavis, 77, expressed that she is feeling great, while Jay shared that they hang out every day and have a great time together. With 44 years of marriage under their belt, the couple seems to be in good spirits despite the circumstances.

The conservatorship ruling, overseen by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny, determined that Jay will continue to manage the couple’s community property and finances. Mavis’ attorney, Ronald Ostrin, confirmed that she is receiving excellent care with Jay and is living in the least restrictive environment.

In court documents from January, Jay revealed that Mavis has been dealing with dementia for several years, causing her to progressively lose capacity and orientation to space and time. However, he assured the court that he is fully capable of supporting her physical and financial needs.

The couple’s public appearance at the movie premiere showcases their resilience and commitment to each other, despite the challenges they are facing. Their story serves as a reminder of the power of love and companionship in difficult times.
