Jayson Tatum Achieves Franchise Milestone in Game 3 Victory

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Boston Celtics took a commanding 2-1 series lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs on Sunday. Led by the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics secured a 106-93 victory over the Cavaliers.

Tatum, in particular, made team history by becoming only the third player in franchise history to have 25 or more playoff games with 30 points. He joins the ranks of Celtics legends Larry Bird and John Havlicek in achieving this milestone.

The Celtics’ starters came to play in Game 3, with four players scoring in double figures. Despite veteran center Al Horford’s low scoring output, Tatum and Brown stepped up to lead the team to victory.

As the series progresses, all eyes will be on Tatum to see if he can lead the Celtics to an NBA title, much like Bird and Havlicek did in the past. The Celtics will look to continue their strong performance in Game 4 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland before heading back to Boston for Game 5.

While the Cavaliers have proven to be resilient, the Celtics are showcasing their dominance as the top-seeded team in the Eastern Conference. With Tatum’s historic performance and the team’s overall strength, the Celtics are poised to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Stay tuned for more thrilling playoff action as the Celtics aim for championship glory.
