Michelle Hardy and Yolanda Dixon have been recognized for their outstanding leadership and community involvement in Baton Rouge. Both women have been named as recipients of the 2024 Leadership Baton Rouge Alumni Association Community Leadership Award.
Hardy, a member of the Leadership Baton Rouge Class of 2018, currently serves as the director of public affairs and community relations for Turner Industries. She is actively involved in various community organizations such as the Capital Area United Way, Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Rotary Club of Baton Rouge.
Dixon, who was part of the Class of 1994, holds the position of secretary of the state Senate. She has been honored by several prestigious organizations including the Baton Rouge Business Report, the Junior League of Baton Rouge, the National Conference of State Legislatures, and Girl Scouts Louisiana-East.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 18 at the LBRA Membership Luncheon at Drusilla Seafood. Tickets for the event are priced at $50 and can be purchased on the leadershipbr.org website.
In other news, Shelita Mundy Jones has recently joined the board of directors for Boys Town Louisiana. With over 20 years of experience in education, Jones currently serves as the chief academic officer for the New Orleans Public School System. She holds multiple degrees from esteemed institutions such as Southern University, Our Lady of Holy Cross College, and Loyola University New Orleans.
Additionally, JD Bank has established a Bank Advisory Council for its Baton Rouge and northshore regions. The council includes members such as Ryan Bodin, Jeff Breland, Carrie H.
