JioCinema Breaks Records with Over 62 Crore Reach During IPL 2024

JioCinema, the official streaming platform for the Indian Premier League (IPL), has wrapped up another successful season with a record-breaking reach of 2,600 Crore views during the 2024 season, marking a 53% growth compared to the previous year. The platform also recorded over 35,000 Crore minutes of watch-time, solidifying its position as a leading destination for cricket fans.

The 2024 season saw JioCinema’s reach soar by over 38%, culminating in over 62 Crores viewers. The platform’s Connected TV audience expanded significantly, thanks to features like 12 language feeds, 4K viewing, multi-cam views, and immersive experiences through AR/VR and 360-degree viewing. The average time spent on the platform increased to 75 minutes, up from 60 minutes in the previous season.

On the opening day of IPL 2024, JioCinema attracted over 11.3 Crore viewers, a 51% increase from the previous year. The platform registered over 59 Crore video views on the first day alone, resulting in 660 Crore minutes of watch-time.

A Viacom18 spokesperson expressed their commitment to revolutionizing the sports viewing experience in India, citing the year-on-year growth as a testament to their viewer-centric approach. JioCinema also saw a record number of sponsors and advertisers during the season, with 28 sponsors and over 1400 advertisers on board.

Looking ahead, JioCinema is gearing up to offer an enhanced viewing experience for the Olympic Games Paris 2024, with extensive coverage and exclusive content for Indian fans. With a strong foothold in the sports streaming landscape, JioCinema continues to set new benchmarks for sports consumption in India.
