President Biden’s reelection campaign has released a powerful ad targeting former President Trump’s controversial remarks about veterans. The one-minute video, titled “What Trump Thinks,” features quotes from Trump where he allegedly referred to American veterans buried in France as “losers” and “suckers.” These comments, which Trump has denied making, have been confirmed by his former chief of staff John Kelly.

The ad also highlights Trump’s mocking of Senator John McCain, a former prisoner of war, and his insensitive remarks to a war widow. Biden’s campaign communications director, Michael Tyler, emphasized the stark difference in how Biden and Trump treat veterans and service members.

In response, Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, criticized Biden for his own controversial remarks towards troops and his alleged lack of empathy during solemn ceremonies. Cheung argued that under Biden’s leadership, America has become weaker on the world stage.

This ad release comes as Biden is in France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. During his visit, Biden has subtly criticized Trump’s America First agenda and Make America Great Again slogan.

The Biden campaign also recently released another ad featuring three veterans who labeled Trump as a “draft dodger” and unfit to be commander in chief. These ads underscore the ongoing battle between the two political figures over their treatment of veterans and military personnel.
