John Hawkes Joins the Cast of ‘Criminal’ Graphic Novel Series in Latest Entertainment News

American actor John Hawkes has landed a recurring role in Prime Video’s graphic novel series, ‘Criminal’, as reported by Deadline. The series, based on the Eisner Award-winning graphic novel by Brubaker and Sean Phillips, features an interconnecting world of criminal stories.

Hawkes will portray ‘Sebastian Hyde,’ a tough character who is six months post-stroke and now walks with a cane. Formerly known as the biggest shark in the shark tank, Hyde is now showing some unexpected compassion, which may be a cause for concern. As the proprietor of a gambling club, Hyde is a figure of fear, known for his unpredictable behavior.

The series will be directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, with Brubaker and crime fiction author Jordan Harper serving as co-showrunners.
