Gladstone sophomore Lillie Johnson and Bark River-Harris senior Lauren Zawada have both achieved impressive accolades in the world of high school basketball. Johnson, a standout player for the Braves, was recently named to the Division 3 All-State First Team by the Associated Press. Her remarkable season included averaging 25 points, 14.3 rebounds, 4.5 steals, and two blocks per game. Johnson also set new records for her team, scoring 44 points in a single game and sinking six 3-pointers.
In addition to her All-State honors, Johnson was named the Great Northern Conference MVP and played a key role in leading Gladstone to their first conference championship in nearly a decade. On the other hand, Zawada, a senior at Bark River-Harris, received honorable mention on the All-State list after a stellar season where she averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, and four assists per game.
Both players have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to their sport, earning recognition from the basketball community. Johnson’s impressive stats and record-breaking performances have solidified her as a rising star in high school basketball, while Zawada’s consistent contributions on the court have earned her well-deserved praise.
