Jon Bon Jovi Reveals Heartwarming High School Yearbook Message from Wife Dorothea – Hollywood Life

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi recently shared a heartwarming story about how a note from his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, inspired one of his hit songs. During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jon revealed that Dorothea’s note in his yearbook suggested he write a sequel to “Bobby’s Girl” and name it “She’s Johnny’s Now…Love, Dot.”

The 62-year-old singer reminisced about the origins of the note, explaining that it led to the creation of his popular song “Bobby’s Girl.” He shared that the song was inspired by his feelings for Dorothea, who was dating his friend Bobby at the time.

This revelation comes on the heels of speculation about Jon’s fidelity following comments made in his Hulu documentary, Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story. Despite insinuations of infidelity, Jon clarified that while he may have had many relationships in his life, he has always prioritized his family.

In response to the rumors, Jon emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong home life and not succumbing to the temptations of rock stardom. He jokingly referred to himself as a “rock ‘n’ roll star, not a saint,” but reiterated his commitment to his long-standing relationship with Dorothea.

Jon and Dorothea have been together since 1989 and share four children. Despite the ups and downs of fame, their enduring love story continues to inspire fans around the world.
