Jonathan Meyer, a passionate runner, has shared his journey from a love of running in his youth to competing collegiately at Wartburg College. Meyer’s dedication to the sport has not only brought him personal fulfillment but also recognition within the Iowa running community.

Despite not being the fastest runner in high school, Meyer’s positive attitude and hard work caught the attention of his coaches, who named him a captain after his freshman season. As a senior, Meyer started a YouTube channel to document his team’s experiences, gaining popularity in the running community.

At the state track meet, Meyer’s team’s success and his YouTube channel were celebrated, culminating in a shoutout during the faculty speech at graduation. Nine months later, Meyer received an offer from Lance Sobaski to run at Wartburg College, a decision he enthusiastically accepted.

Now, Meyer finds himself at Wartburg College, reflecting on his journey and the impact running has had on his life. With a message of perseverance and taking things one step at a time, Meyer continues to embrace his love for running.
