American actor Josh Charles recently shared his experience of starring in Taylor Swift’s music video for the song ‘Fortnight’ from her album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’. The actor revealed that the opportunity came about through his Dead Poets Society co-star Ethan Hawke, who connected him with Swift.

In an interview with People, Charles explained how Swift reached out to Hawke, who then contacted him about the project. Initially skeptical, Charles thought Hawke might be playing a prank on him, but soon realized it was a genuine offer.

Praising Swift’s directorial skills, Charles described her as an incredible director who knows exactly what she wants. He also commended her genuine and approachable personality, which he found refreshing in the industry.

Despite being sworn to secrecy about his involvement in the video, Charles did reveal the news to a select few, including his wife and son. He joked that he didn’t inform his kids because they are “blabbermouths” but did let his son know a few days before the video’s release.

Hawke, who also appeared in the music video, shared his thoughts on the experience during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He mentioned that Swift wanted to include a nod to Dead Poets Society in the video, adding an Easter egg for fans of the film.

Both actors expressed their excitement about being part of the project and the challenge of keeping it a secret until the video’s release. The collaboration between Swift, Charles, and Hawke has generated buzz among fans, with many eager to see the final result.
