Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny Join Cast of ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’
Exciting news for fans of the ‘Knives Out’ franchise as actors Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny have been announced to join Daniel Craig in the upcoming sequel, ‘Knives Out 3’. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed their casting in the highly anticipated murder mystery thriller.
Last week, writer and director Rian Johnson revealed on social media that Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as Benoit Blanc in the sequel titled ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’. Netflix also confirmed Craig’s return and the sequel title on its Tudum site following Johnson’s announcement.
In a statement, Netflix described the upcoming installment as a new chapter in the whodunnit franchise, with Blanc set to unravel a brand-new murder mystery surrounded by a colorful cast of suspects in an undisclosed setting.
Production on the sequel is set to begin soon, with Johnson expressing his love for the genre and the flexibility it offers in storytelling. ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’ is scheduled to release on Netflix next year.
