Justin Thomas has made a surprising announcement just over a week before The Masters at Augusta National. The American golfer has decided to part ways with his caddie, Jim ‘Bones’ McKay, who has been by his side since late 2021.

McKay was on Thomas’ bag when he secured his second PGA Championship title in 2022. However, since that victory, Thomas has struggled to find his winning form, failing to claim another title and missing the cut in three out of four majors in 2023.

In a statement on social media, Thomas expressed his gratitude towards McKay for their time together, highlighting their achievements at major tournaments like the PGA Championship and the Presidents Cup. Thomas did not reveal who will be caddying for him at The Masters, which begins on April 11.

Despite a recent string of top-10 finishes earlier this year, Thomas has faced challenges on the course, missing the cut in two of his last four tournaments and finishing tied for 64th in his most recent outing at the Valspar Championship in March.

Golf fans will be eager to see how Thomas performs at The Masters without McKay by his side. The tournament will be exclusively broadcast live on Sky Sports from April 11-14, offering fans the opportunity to witness the action as it unfolds.
