Juventus stages dramatic late comeback to secure 3-3 draw with Bologna in Serie A, Hellas Verona triumphs in relegation battle

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Juventus staged a stunning comeback to salvage a 3-3 draw against Bologna in Serie A on Monday, scoring three goals in the final 14 minutes of the match. The result left both teams level on 68 points, with Atalanta close behind on 66 points.

Bologna got off to a flying start, taking a 2-0 lead within the first 11 minutes with goals from Riccardo Calafiori and Santiago Castro. They thought they had a third goal through Jens Odgaard, but it was ruled offside. Calafiori added his second goal early in the second half to put Bologna in a commanding position.

However, Juventus fought back with Federico Chiesa scoring in the 76th minute to kickstart their revival. Arkadiusz Milik followed up with a free-kick strike in the 83rd minute before substitute Kenan Yildiz sealed the draw with a long-range effort.

The draw came after a tumultuous period for Juventus, who sacked manager Massimiliano Allegri following their Italian Cup triumph and appointed Paolo Montero as interim coach. Montero praised his team’s fighting spirit and resilience after a mentally draining week.

Meanwhile, Hellas Verona secured their Serie A status for next season with a 2-1 victory over relegated Salernitana, moving them to 13th in the table with 37 points.

The thrilling comeback and Verona’s survival added drama to the Serie A season as the race for European spots and relegation battles heat up in the final matchday.
