Kalki Koechlin supports crowdfunding campaign for her Hollywood debut comedy film “Her Song”

Critically acclaimed actress Kalki Koechlin is all set to make her Hollywood debut in director John Keller’s upcoming comedy feature film “Her Song.” Known for her unconventional roles, Kalki will be portraying the character of American writer Olivia in the film. Not only is she set to showcase her acting skills in this new project, but she is also actively involved in raising funds for the production.

In a video shared by the production house, Kalki expressed her excitement about working with Keller and the talented cast of the film. She praised Keller’s unique writing style and humor, which she finds reminiscent of New York’s diversity. The actress also shared insights into her character Olivia, describing her as a writer who draws inspiration from real people’s lives to create her book characters.

The project is being produced by Elea Clair and Marine Assaiante under the banner Six and Midnight Films, with American novelist John M. Keller and filmmaker James Ivory on board. The cast includes Kalki Koechlin, Elea Clair, and Zach Grenier, among others.

While the storyline of “Her Song” has not been revealed yet, the cast and crew hinted at a narrative involving “tiny villagers” during the Second World War. Kalki described the film as being about cycles and life in general, emphasizing the theme of “hearing your song.”
