Kareena Kapoor Receives Notice from MP High Court Over Title of Pregnancy Book Featuring ‘Bible’

Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued a notice to Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan on a petition raising objections to the title of her book ‘Pregnancy Bible’. The court stated that the title has hurt the sentiments of people, as the word “Bible” is the name of the holy book in Christianity.

Advocate Christopher Anthony informed ANI that the High Court has taken cognizance of the petition and issued a notice to Kareena Kapoor Khan. The court has also summoned Amazon, the platform where the book is available, to provide answers. They have been given time until July 1 to respond.

Kareena Kapoor, who is a mother of two children, had announced the book on the birthday of her first child, Taimur, in 2020. In 2021, she shared her pregnancy experience on Instagram while giving a glimpse of her book. She described the book as a personal account of her physical and emotional experiences during both her pregnancies.

Kareena considers the book as her third child and hopes that sharing her experiences will help other expectant mothers on their journey towards motherhood. UNICEF India recently appointed Kareena as its new National Ambassador.

On the movie front, Kareena is currently enjoying the success of ‘Crew’, where she starred alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. The film, directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, follows the journey of three working women in the aviation industry.
