Kartik Aaryan recently opened up about not being cast in Luv Ranjan’s film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Despite having a cameo role in the film, Kartik respected Ranjan’s decision to cast Ranbir Singh instead of him. In a conversation with Lallantop, Kartik expressed his understanding of the director’s choice, stating, “It’s not necessary that all directors will make films with the same actor.”
However, Kartik emphasized that his relationship with Ranjan remained unaffected by this decision, even though he admitted to being “extremely possessive about my team.” He also mentioned that he looks forward to collaborating with Ranjan in the future.
On the career front, Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of Chandu Champion, a biographical sports drama directed by Kabir Khan. The film, scheduled to release on June 14, is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympics gold medallist. To prepare for his role in the film, Kartik underwent rigorous training and even quit sugar for more than a year and a half.
Apart from Chandu Champion, Kartik Aaryan is also set to star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, where he will share the screen with Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan. Chandu Champion is a film that showcases the story of a man who overcame numerous challenges with unwavering determination and earned India its first individual gold medal in any form of the Olympics.
