Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar recently disclosed the reason why Katrina Kaif had to turn down the opportunity to star in the upcoming film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” which features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles. Zafar, who has previously collaborated with Kaif on successful projects like “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan,” “Tiger Zinda Hai,” and “Bharat,” expressed his disappointment that the actress couldn’t be a part of this project.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Zafar shared, “Katrina is always on my mind when it comes to making any film. If I don’t cast her, she calls and tells me, ‘Why aren’t you taking me in your film?’ She said the same this time around too.” He emphasized the strong bond they share as a director-actor duo and praised Kaif’s acting skills, citing her performances in their previous collaborations.
Zafar revealed that Kaif had to decline the offer for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” due to prior commitments. However, he expressed his hope that she would be available for his next project. The filmmaker’s disappointment was evident as he expressed his desire to work with Kaif again in the future.
“Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” set to release on Eid 2024, features Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Alaya F, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. The film, produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar, is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike.
