Kavya Maran left shocked by DRS decision against SRH as they suffer defeat to KKR. Watch the match unfold.

Reading Time: < 1 minute

In a one-sided encounter, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a dominant eight-wicket victory over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2024. The match, held in Ahmedabad, saw SRH opting to bat first but failing to make an impact as they were bundled out for just 159 runs.

Mitchell Starc led the charge for KKR with a brilliant bowling performance, restricting SRH’s batting lineup. Despite the disappointing total, SRH owner Kavya Maran remained a constant presence in the stands, visibly displeased with her team’s performance.

One particular moment captured Maran’s disbelief when SRH lost a review against KKR’s Sunil Narine. The decision, which showed the ball pitching outside leg, left Maran stunned and the expression quickly went viral on social media.

In the chase, KKR’s openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine provided a solid start, scoring runs at a rapid pace. Although Gurbaz fell early, Venkatesh Iyer joined Narine to build a strong partnership. Captain Shreyas Iyer then took charge, guiding KKR to victory with an unbeaten half-century.

With this win, KKR secured a spot in the final of the IPL 2024, while SRH will have another chance to face them in the final if they win the upcoming match against the winner of the Eliminator match. The match showcased KKR’s dominance and set the stage for an exciting final showdown.
