NILES — The community of Niles is mourning the loss of Kelly Stuart Newbrough, a beloved member of the town who passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at The Cleveland Clinic.
Kelly, 57, was a well-respected individual who had made significant contributions to his community. Born on March 21, 1967, in Warren, he was the son of James and Jenny Crockett Newbrough Sr. He was a proud graduate of Niles McKinley High School and went on to pursue higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Empire State University, a master’s degree in education from Potsdam University, and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron.
Kelly’s career path was diverse, starting as a math teacher before transitioning to become an attorney and founding the Law Office of Kelly Newbrough. Known for his dedication and compassion towards his clients, Kelly was admired for going above and beyond to help those in need.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Kelly was a devoted family man. He took great pride in his daughter Livi, who recently achieved her dream of becoming an architect. Kelly was also a United States Army veteran, serving as a sergeant during Desert Storm and stationed in Germany.
His passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, including his wife Teresa, daughter Olivia, mother, brothers, and extended family. Friends and community members are invited to pay their respects at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Funeral services will be held the following day, with burial at Niles City Cemetery, where Kelly will be honored for his military service by The Trumbull County American Legion Honor Guard.
