Kendrick Lamar drops new track targeting Drake for his manipulative behavior

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The world of rap has been rocked by a fierce ‘civil war’ between two heavyweights, Kendrick Lamar and Drake. The latest salvo in their ongoing feud comes in the form of Lamar’s diss track titled Euphoria, released on Tuesday on his YouTube channel.

In the six-minute track, Lamar takes aim at Drake’s parenting skills, biracial identity, and Canadian background, calling him a “master manipulator and habitual liar.” He also questions Drake’s authenticity as a Black artist and accuses him of selling out with his music.

The feud between Lamar and Drake dates back to 2013 when Lamar asserted his dominance over his fellow rappers on the Big Sean track Control. Since then, the two have traded barbs, with Lamar recently responding to a song by Drake and J Cole where they dubbed themselves the “big three” of hip-hop.

Drake fired back with two diss tracks, including one that used AI technology to imitate the voices of Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur to criticize Lamar. The move drew backlash, with Shakur’s estate sending a cease and desist letter to Drake for disrespecting the late hip-hop legend.

The feud has not only captivated fans but has also drawn in other rap peers like the Weeknd and Kanye West, who have referenced the feud in their own music. As tensions continue to escalate, the world of rap is on edge, waiting to see what the next move will be in this epic battle between two rap titans.
