Kendrick Perkins Asserts Timberwolves’ Playoff Run Will Be Strong

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been the surprise of the NBA playoffs this spring, as they continue to defy expectations and make a deep run in the postseason. After finishing with the third seed in the Western Conference, many doubted their ability to compete with the top teams in the league.

However, the Timberwolves have silenced their critics by sweeping the star-studded Phoenix Suns in the first round and then stunning the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the second round. Their victory in Game 7 on the road in Colorado has solidified their status as a legitimate contender in the playoffs.

ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins even went as far as to say that the Timberwolves are “on the verge of having one of the greatest runs in playoff history.” Their success has been driven by their stellar defense, which was the best in the NBA during the regular season and has continued to stifle opponents in the playoffs.

Now, the Timberwolves are set to face the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, where they will have to contend with the likes of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Despite not being the favorites to win the championship, the Timberwolves have proven that they are a force to be reckoned with and could potentially go all the way.

With their impressive performance so far, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Timberwolves hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy at the end of the season. Their underdog story has captured the attention of basketball fans everywhere, and they will be a team to watch as the playoffs continue.
