Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh is gearing up for an exciting 2024 season with new attractions, dining options, and special events. As the park celebrates its 126th season, visitors can look forward to a host of enhancements that promise to make this year the most memorable yet.

One of the highlights of the upcoming season is the introduction of the all-new Potato Smash bumper cars, themed after Kennywood’s famous fresh-cut Potato Patch fries. These ‘spud-tacular’ cars will feature fries, cheese sauce, and an oversized fork, creating a mouth-watering experience for thrill-seekers.

In addition to the new bumper cars, Kennywood has also revamped its iconic Turtle ride, refreshed the Aero 360 pendulum ride, and introduced Jeeters’ Pub in partnership with Penn Brewery. Guests can enjoy draft beers, charcuterie boards, wings, and other pub snacks at this hometown bar themed after Kennywood’s popular pink mascot from the 1970s.

Carousel Burger Co., a new all-American restaurant located in the park’s original merry-go-round pavilion, will offer juicy burgers, milkshakes, and more, celebrating Kennywood’s historic past.

The park has also made improvements to its retail spaces, with the Lost Kennywood Gift Shop undergoing a makeover to offer sweet treats and souvenirs. Additionally, the Wacky Wheel miniature Ferris Wheel has been reimagined to provide a bird’s-eye view of Kiddieland.

As the summer season kicks off, Kennywood will host special events like the Bites and Pints Food & Drink Festival, Celebrate Pittsburgh, and a drone show during the Celebrate Pittsburgh event. Guests can also look forward to the return of fan-favorite events like Celebrate America, Phantom Fall Fest, and Holiday Lights.
