Sabah’s young entrepreneurs were given valuable advice on how to succeed in the business world during an entrepreneur masterclass in Kota Kinabalu. The speakers emphasized the importance of being focused, decisive, and resilient in order to achieve success.

Robert Wong Choon Shein, Chairman of Agrow Malaysia Sdn Bhd, stressed the need for entrepreneurs to trust their instincts and make decisions confidently, even in the face of uncertainty. He highlighted the importance of learning from failures and having a contingency plan in place.

Meanwhile, Datuk Sia Teong Heng, Managing Director and CEO of SBC Corporation Berhad, discussed the “Culture of Failing” and how society should view failure as a learning experience rather than something to be feared or avoided. He encouraged entrepreneurs to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success.

The event was organized by Dato George Lim of the Sabah Entrepreneurship Transformation (SET) and aimed to create 100 entrepreneurs annually. Lim shared his personal journey of overcoming fear and self-doubt to achieve success, emphasizing the importance of setting ambitious goals and staying focused on one’s dreams.
