Cumbria Tourism Partners with Lloyd Kia South Lakes to Promote Electric Vehicle Usage

Cumbria Tourism has taken a step towards sustainability by partnering with Lloyd Kia South Lakes to utilize the Kia EV9 for staff travel to meetings and events. This move aims to promote car-sharing and reduce carbon emissions in the county.

The team will benefit from the expanding network of EV chargers across Cumbria, along with two newly-installed EV charge points at Cumbria Tourism’s HQ in Staveley, which are also open to the public. The Kia EV9, a fully-electric seven-seater SUV, has a maximum range of 349 miles and features fourth-generation battery technology for improved performance.

Gill Haigh, managing director of Cumbria Tourism, expressed excitement about showcasing the possibilities of electric vehicles to both businesses and visitors in the county. The partnership with Lloyd Motor Group is already sparking positive conversations about environmental sustainability.
