The Kinzua Soccer Club recently participated in a tournament at Elk County Catholic School in St. Mary’s, showcasing their talent and sportsmanship. The club fielded three teams – a 5th/6th grade all-girls team, a 5th/6th grade all-boys team known as the Kinzua Kings, and a 7th/8th grade boys team called the Zesty Besties.

In an intense final match, the Zesty Besties narrowly missed out on victory, losing 2-1. The Kinzua Kings, on the other hand, secured second place in their division and advanced to the final, where they faced tough competition and ultimately fell short with a score of 3-2. The girls team also put up a strong fight, earning third place in the tournament after being defeated by the eventual champions.

The tournament was a great opportunity for the players to showcase their skills, teamwork, and determination on the field. Despite the outcomes, all three teams displayed excellent sportsmanship and represented the Kinzua Soccer Club with pride.

The coaches and supporters were proud of the players’ efforts and performance throughout the tournament. The experience gained from competing at such a high level will undoubtedly benefit the young athletes as they continue to develop their soccer skills and passion for the game. Congratulations to all the teams on their impressive showing at the tournament!
