North Central High School senior Gracie Kleikamp made a significant decision that will shape her future as she signed her letter of intent to play basketball and volleyball at Gogebic Community College. The signing ceremony took place at North Central High School, where Kleikamp expressed her excitement for the next chapter in her life.

Kleikamp, who will be pursuing a career in nursing, shared her passion for helping others and her desire to be a part of the recovery process for those in need. She ultimately chose GCC because it felt like the right fit for her after visiting the campus and considering multiple offers.

While Kleikamp has always had a love for basketball, she discovered a newfound passion for volleyball later in her high school career. Despite starting her volleyball journey late, her competitive nature and dedication have propelled her to the college level.

North Central Jets volleyball coach Rick Mick praised Kleikamp’s development in the sport, noting her impressive growth in just two years. On the basketball court, Kleikamp served as team captain, averaging 13.2 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Her hard work and leadership were recognized with a second-team All-Conference selection in the Skyline Central Conference.

Jets basketball coach Brooke Granquist commended Kleikamp for her dedication and expressed her excitement to see her excel at the next level. With a bright future ahead, Kleikamp’s commitment to both academics and athletics sets her on a path to success at Gogebic Community College.
