Kristi Noem proposes that Biden’s dog should also have been euthanized

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, known for her controversial actions towards animals, has once again sparked outrage with her comments about President Biden’s German shepherd, Commander. In a recent interview on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Noem suggested that Commander, who had bitten 24 Secret Service agents and was subsequently banished from the White House, should have been put down.

Noem’s remarks come as she prepares for the release of her memoir, “No Going Back,” where she details her decision to shoot her own family dog, Cricket, whom she deemed “untrainable” and “dangerous.” In the book, she also references Commander, calling him “dangerous and unpredictable” and implying that he should meet the same fate as Cricket.

The South Dakota governor’s comments have drawn criticism from animal rights activists and politicians alike. Many have condemned her callous attitude towards animals and questioned her judgment in advocating for the killing of pets.

Despite the backlash, Noem has stood by her actions, claiming that she made the decision to protect people. However, her cavalier attitude towards the lives of animals has raised concerns about her suitability for public office.

As the controversy continues to unfold, the White House has yet to respond to Noem’s comments. In the meantime, the debate over the treatment of animals and the ethics of pet ownership rages on.
