KTLA Weatherman Mark Kriski Experiences Minor Stroke, in Good Condition and Recovering Well

Reading Time: < 1 minute

KTLA weatherman Mark Kriski is currently recovering from a medical emergency after suffering a light stroke, according to his spouse, reporter Jennifer Gould. The incident occurred early Monday morning at their Los Angeles home, leading to Mark being hospitalized. However, Jennifer reassures that he is on the road to recovery.

While Mark is still in the hospital, Jennifer mentioned that he is communicative, joking around, and in good spirits. KTLA broke the news and announced it on air, keeping viewers updated on Mark’s condition.

Mark has been a longstanding member of the KTLA family, joining the news program as its original weathercaster in 1991. Over the years, he has received numerous accolades, including nine Emmy Awards and one Associated Press Radio-TV Award for his work on the daily weather forecast.

Despite the recent health scare, Jennifer shared that Mark is looking forward to returning to work soon. Alongside reporter Eric Spillman, Mark remains one of the OG members of the KTLA team, following the departure of Entertainment reporter Sam Rubin earlier this month.

The KTLA family has faced challenges recently, with Sam Rubin tragically passing away after suffering a heart attack. Mark paid tribute to Sam on social media, acknowledging the end of an era and expressing his love and admiration for his late colleague.

Overall, it has been a tough time for the KTLA family, but they remain resilient and supportive of one another during these difficult moments.
