In a surprising turn of events at the Bollywood box office, Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut film “Madgaon Express” has managed to maintain a slight lead over Randeep Hooda’s directorial debut “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.” The two films have been engaged in a close competition since their release on March 22, with Madgaon Express currently holding the upper hand.

“Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,” a biopic drama film directed by Randeep Hooda, opened to mixed reviews and criticism for its alleged propaganda elements and inaccuracies in its narrative. On the other hand, “Madgaon Express,” a comedy film directed by Kunal Kemmu, received praise from viewers for its entertaining storyline and performances by actors Divyenndu, Avinash Tiwary, and Pratik Gandhi.

The box office collections for both films have been closely monitored, with Madgaon Express consistently edging out Swatantrya Veer Savarkar in terms of earnings. Despite a strong opening day for Swatantrya Veer Savarkar with Rs 1.05 crore, Madgaon Express surpassed it with Rs 1.5 crore on its opening day. As the days progressed, both films continued to compete fiercely, with Madgaon Express maintaining a slight lead over Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.

On the thirteenth day of their release, both films have reached a point of equilibrium with three consecutive days of equal collections. The total box office collection for Madgaon Express stands at Rs 18.75 crore, slightly ahead of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’s collection of Rs 17.28 crore.

The rivalry between these two directorial debuts has captured the attention of Bollywood fans, as they eagerly await to see which film will emerge victorious in this close competition.
