The Cleveland Guardians are facing a setback as leadoff hitter Steven Kwan is set to hit the injured list with a hamstring strain. The team will be calling up top prospect Kyle Manzardo to fill the void left by Kwan’s absence.

Kwan, who was leading the AL in batting, underwent an MRI after experiencing tightness during Saturday’s game. The results have prompted the Guardians to place him on the 10-day IL, with the official roster move expected to be made on Monday before the series against Detroit.
