Lakers on the Brink of Elimination after 112-105 Loss to Nuggets in Game 3 of Playoffs – NBC Los Angeles

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of being swept out of the NBA Playoffs for the second consecutive year by the Denver Nuggets. After a 112-105 loss in Game 3, the Lakers find themselves down 3-0 in the series, extending their losing streak against the defending champions to 11 games.

Aaron Gordon led the Nuggets with 27 points, while Nikola Jokic nearly had a triple-double with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. Anthony Davis put up a strong performance for the Lakers with 33 points and 15 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Nuggets.

Despite getting off to a hot start and building a 12-point lead early in the second quarter, the Lakers faltered in the second half as the Nuggets outscored them 34-22 in the third quarter. Denver’s ability to close out games proved to be the difference once again, as they took control of the game and never looked back.

With Game 4 looming on Saturday night, the Lakers will need to regroup and find a way to avoid the sweep. Can LeBron James and company finally break their losing streak against the Nuggets and keep their playoff hopes alive? Stay tuned for more updates, stats, and player reactions as the series continues.
