Latest Update from OpenAI: ChatGPT Now Sounds Almost Human

OpenAI’s latest creation, GPT-4o, is revolutionizing the world of artificial intelligence with its emotionally expressive technology that adapts to users’ needs. During a Monday event, OpenAI unveiled this new AI model, showcasing its ability to understand users’ emotions from a selfie, assist children with math problems, and engage in conversations with multiple people without any lag.

The highlight of the event was when GPT-4o, in a live demonstration, complimented a participant on their attire without any prompt, making ChatGPT sound more like a friendly companion than a machine. This new model seamlessly integrates text, vision, and audio, allowing it to switch between different modes effortlessly.

In another demonstration, ChatGPT acted as a tutor, helping a user with a linear equations problem and explaining the real-world applications of math. OpenAI’s CTO, Mira Murati, emphasized that GPT-4o will bring advanced AI capabilities to everyone, including free users, with enhanced tools and increased capacity limits.

GPT-4o is an upgrade from OpenAI’s previous GPT-4 Turbo model, offering twice the speed and half the cost. App developers can leverage this new model to create custom AI applications, while ChatGPT is set to receive a new desktop app and a refreshed look.
